What is Parrot OS? Parrot OS is a GNU/Linux distribution that is based on Debian that can be used for development and penetration testing. The Parrot OS is developed by the Parrot Project team and was initially released on 10th April 2013. The reason that the Parrot OS is popular throughout tech enthusiasts because of its lightweight and versatility. Works flawlessly even when it's live booted using external media, unlike other Linux distribution. Figure 1.1  A basic snapshot of this OS is shown in Figure 1.1.
